Little Bits of Fabric Joy

I was home sick today and didn't have a lot of energy, but I did work on a few midget blocks.  Here is a sneak peak, but the full posts will wait for Tiny Tuesdays.  I have another applique block prepped to work on during the presidential debate tonight.  I might have to watch it in a different room from my husband who gets very emotional about these things.
The exciting news for today is that I go brand new and fabulous fabric in the mail.  I am planning to start a Rainbow Dear Jane as soon as the Midgets are all done.  (Don't know when that will be -- but maybe by the end of this year?)  When I saw these beautiful bundles at the Twiddletails store, I knew they would be just right.  The only one I didn't put in my cart was a yellow set that seemed to have a lot of white background going on.   Aren't they purdy?  Of course now I have the urge to go and make a few blocks just to try out all this new fabric, but I will resist.

Love the fabric and I sure hope you're feeling better. My Husband is sure to watch the debate tonight too...I'm not sure if I'm looking forward to it or dreading it yet. I think I will make a fabric run... :)

Sounds like a little sewing to help heal the bug was in order. Hope you are feeling better today.... just looking at those nice brights make me smile. So... still resisting?

Heartful get-well wishes ! ;>)
I'm So happy finding your blog, as I'm starting a rainbow Dear Jane in bright jewel tones, by next beg. January 2013 !
I do hope that number 13 will be my lucky number ---> have you noticed there are 13 rows of 13 blocks + 13 colourful triancles in each border ? So, 2013 MUST be our Jane year!
My bundle of fabrics is ready, as well, and I just can't wait starting... but I will resist, as I've got a Xmas quilt to finish That 2 years long work top deserves its handquilting this year, no excuse! (better late than never, right ?

I'm planning to start with the center, and I've divided the "grid" in 9 big sections (just as a 9-patch)- including sashings - which then, in my humble opinion, will be easier to get pieced together.

Now I'm gonna subscribe to your pretty blog, as I'll certainly come back often, HeeHee.... ;>)

Smiles from my little corner !

Thank you for giving such good examples. I will pass this on to my older sister who really wants to get married. She believes that handicraft is a positive trait for a bride. I have repeatedly told her to go to personals.tendermeets. I think this is a more modern way to find a match for yourself. A good hobby never hurts though.
